Teachers and professors shouldn't stray too much from the subject of the lesson. Especially if they don't know anything about the subject they're straying to. And if they do, I don't want them to teach. I go to school to learn something there, not to listen to ramblings about the teacher's personal opinion on latest cinematography, or his personal life.
